Parque Metropolitano Guangüiltagua
Parque Metropolitano Guangüiltagua in Quito is probably one of my favorites to go and visit. It’s just awesome! You see people everywhere with their friends, family, and pets enjoying themselves.
On top of this the park is well taken care of by the staff & groundskeepers.
It has a very convenient location, and there is just so much to do and see. There are countless walking trails ranging in difficulty, playground equipment for kids everywhere, workout stations, soccer fields, volleyball courts, art pieces, dog parks, mountain biking trails and panoramic views of the city. This park is just as nice or better than many of the parks I have visited back in British Columbia (Vancouver and the Lower Mainland).
My favorite part is the fact that you can be surrounded by others and then moments later be in a secluded part of the forest where you can hear a pin drop.
